Y-PARC

With over 200 companies, 2,400 jobs and a surface area of 52 hectares, Y-PARC is the first and largest technology park in Switzerland.

Y-PARC offers a complete and varied range of infrastructures - land for sale, premises for rent, start-up incubator - and support services tailored to the needs of start-ups, SMEs and multinationals with high added value. What's more, Y-PARC stands out for its clusters of expertise in high-precision industries (robotics and digital manufacturing), Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), particularly cybersecurity, Life Sciences (Medtech & Biotech), Cleantech and emerging technologies (artificial intelligence, digital and data management).

This ecosystem is conducive to business development and innovation, thanks to the proximity of the R&D institutes of HEIG-VD and EPFL, universities (UNIL, HEC, HE-Arc, Uni Fribourg) and support structures for partner companies.

In the long term, Y-PARC represents a growth potential of up to 5-6,000 jobs and offers numerous opportunities for expansion.

Tech platforms and partnerships

Y-PARC works closely with the Haute École d'Ingénierie et de Gestion du canton de Vaud (HEIG-VD), its main academic partner, which has more than 2,500 students and scientists and 8 research and development institutes, including :

The IICT Institute: the school's largest research institute, covering the fields of computer science and telecommunications.

- The Institute of Industrial Automation (IAI): a partner of choice in the fields of automation, robotics and mechatronics.

- The Institute of Energy: a new institute addressing current energy challenges such as increasing energy efficiency, promoting renewable energies, reducing waste and limiting energy shortages.

In addition to the research institutes, 5 cross-disciplinary groups and centres of expertise complete the Ra&D ecosystem available to technology companies:

Y-SECURITY: HEIG-VD's centre of expertise in IT security (cybersecurity).

Health, Engineering & Economics (HEE): a cross-disciplinary group serving health and sport.
